Jimi's work in progress at the time of his death was shaping up to be a triple LP. Instead, Hendrix goes and saturates himself to death with red wine and all we got was a measly single LP, released posthumously as First Rays of the New Rising Sun.
I mean, we'll take it. It's nasty. But if the entire project was going to sound this good, well then that just sucks, doesn't it.
