Like most of you, I visit music blogs for the sole purpose of finding free new music. Let's not kid ourselves; you arrived here via a Hype Machine or Elbo.ws search for some particular piece of music which you hope to acquire at no cost, not to actually read some clown's slef-serving opinion of the music itself. I ignore most of that nonsense, myself (probably one of many contributing factors to the suckiness of this blog).
But I do browse this scene enough to know that there is a LOT of contrived music blogging going on out there. Maybe I'm just sick of reading about the same Bloc Party CD on every site, but where's the love for those of us who might be looking for something other than indie rock?
Well, here are a few fresh, unblogged soul goodies for those of you who might want to veer from the buzzworthy today. I'll even spare you the commentary.

Porter Batiste Stoltz — Comin' At Ya
