Introducing "Track of the Day"

I don't think I need to explain the concept. Each day, I will try to post a different tune from my library for the reader's enjoyment. The selection process will be simple: The song playing on my ipod when I arrive at work in the morning will be that day's jam.*

You know, I'm pretty sure I'm not legally allowed to just post songs on a public site (if I can call this public). I'm also pretty sure I don't know HOW to do it.

I'll give it a try anyway, though.

*There are, of course, a couple of disclaimers to this system: 1) In the event that I deem said song to be embarrassing or incriminating to my own musical tastes (a recently-acquired Rush greatest hits album has been on heavy rotation - it rocks) I reserve the right to cheat and skip ahead - always on shuffle - until a more agreeable title emerges. 2) Should my two-year-old ipod battery die mid-commute, which tends to happen when it's really cold outside, that day's entry will be whatever song is in my head when I sit down at my desk (of course, disclaimer #1 may also be applied to this disclaimer). For the most part, though, I will strive to adhere to the aforementioned last-song-of-my-morning-commute formula.

By the way, it just took me 15 minutes to figure out how to change the TITLE of my blog. And you'll notice I didn't really come up with anything. Accepting submissions now. This is going to be a disaster.

Here goes. First post of first blog (wow, I'm an enormous tool...or just bored). Anyway, I haven't a clue as to what sort of nonsense will eventually find its way to this page, but rest assured that it will be exactly that: nonsense. You may also rest assured that some posts - such as this one - may end rather abruptly... because dammit, I have a real job to do, too. Bye for now.
