Here's to Jeff Tweedy's new Sunken Treasure DVD. I'm watching it for the first time as we (I) speak, warily anticipating that infamous fan-scolding scene I've read so much about. He's talking about his rehab stint now. Good enough.

Shhhhh! Tweedy's singing.
Director Christoph Green may have pulled some style notes from Sam Jones (I Am Trying To Break Your Heart), but Jeff is on his game in these five subsets of his February '06 northwest solo tour. Wilco/Tweedy fans can't argue with the song selection.
(Ah, there's the aforementioned rant: Tweedy kindly lambastes the back-bar talkers at Portland's Crystal Ballroom. The commentary toward all his fans is pretty bitter throughout, in fact. If you see him live, don't talk.)
Apparently you can throw this DVD in your computer and get a free audio download of every tune on the set. I haven't gotten around to that yet, but here are a couple original versions of the good stuff on Sunken Treasure.
